Small Doctor Released From Police Custody

An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court yesterday released hip-pop musician, Temitope Adekunle, a.k.a. Small Doctor and three of his band members on a bail bond of N5 million each.

 

Small Doctor’s arrested on Monday 3rd of december for the illegal possession of fire arms. According to The Guardian, the court ruled in the favour of the musician because he had the license to carry a gun, but gave them a warning not to engage in any violent act for the next year.

The Chief Magistrate,Mrs. Abimbola Komolafe released Small Doctor alongside three of his band members to two sureties with N5million each.

She also made an order that for the period of one year, they must not engage, recruit, instigate or incite any member of Shogunle community or Lagos state to cause a breach of public peace or disturb peace within or outside the community and Lagos state.

The musician who is among a group of popular entertainers including Omoni Oboli, Odunlade Adekola, South Sultan, Dr. Sid, Korede Bello and Ruggedman appointed as ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force earlier this year.

He is expected to perform at the his fist ever “OMOBETTER” concert on Sunday, December 9, at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
