Portable Apologised To Headies Over Threat Of Withdrawal

Habeeb Okikiola, better known as portable has reacted to the Headies threat over his remarks about a co-nominee for this year's edition of its award. The upcoming singer was nominated to contest for the award in the “Rookie of the year” and Best Street Hip-Hop Artist” categories. In the Rookie of the year, Portable is expected to contest against, AV, Fave, Magixx, and Ugoccies. Meanwhile, in the second category of the award, he is to contest against, Bella Shmurda, Naira Marley, and Goya Mentor amongst others.


However, on Wednesday, portable boasted that the co-nominees in his category are not his match for the award. 

Therefore, threaten that he will kill any of them who may win the award if not him. 

Consequently, the organizers of the award threaten to disqualify him for dishing out such a threat if he fails to retract his words and issue an apology on his social media page for all to see. 

Responding via his Instagram social media page yesterday, portable chided the award organizers that they nominated a “mad man musician.” 

Though, he apologized for his remark saying that he is not at loggerhead with any of them. 

In his statement, portable said, “Headies, you invited a mad person and you’ve seen one…this year’s Headies will boom, you’ve nominated a mad man musician… street is taking over…we no fight, we just dey talk am, say we no want competition so make una give us our award,” 

He added, “No vex o bros. If I f*uck up, no be me be the first to do that. Plenty people don dey f*uck up. Abeg I wan collect my award.”
