Omo Ghetto “The Saga” has become Nollywood's Box Office tsunami of 2020, after breaking the industry all-time Box Office record of N90m despite the pandemic and has pushed its cumulative earnings from N98.50m to N124m its opening weekend.

The sequel to the 2010 hit starring Funke Akindele was released in theatres on 25 December 2020 (Nigeria) and over 57,000 tickets were sold in 59 locations in its first 3 days. The movie was directed by Funke Akindele and JJC Skills. Due to the pandemic and lockdown enforcement that had forced cinemas to close, only five movies were successful at the Box Office.
