Contrary to speculation that the popular musician Duncan Mighty was abducted, the Imo state police command has cleared the air that the Music star was in their net. His billionaire friend and club owner, Cubana Chief Priest, had earlier rushed to his Instagram page where he shared that Duncan Mighty was abducted by yet to be identified gunmen.

However, the Police disclosed he was arrested for defrauding the former Governor of Imo state, Owele Rochas Okorocha.

According to SP Orlando Okeokwu, the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the police command, the arrest followed a petition filed by an upcoming rap artist M2, who petitioned that the Imo state Government lead by, Rochas Okorocha through the office of the SA on Entertainment, had stroked a deal with Duncan mighty to Manage, promote, arrange collaboration with other top artist in the state and signed M2 under “YOUNG WEALTH” record label owned by Duncan Mighty, subsequently an agreement was reached with a fee of N11,000,000 paid to Duncan Mighty.

However, since the receipt of the payment, he failed to fulfil his own part of the deal.

The PPRO added, as at today, 14th December, operatives of the police command swiftly went and arrested the popular artist Duncan mighty in connection to the said petition in order to dig into the root of the matter.

“Sequel to the petition, the artist was arrested, and he affirmed having such agreement and collecting the fund, but said he can only refund the money if the contract is terminated. He was then released on bail on self-recognition, the police added.

“Consequently, a letter was received by the representative of the former Governor, terminating the contract to enable him refund the money and since then, he disappeared into thin air and all efforts made to reach him proved abortive.

In an effort to bring him to justice, the PPRO revealed an order for his arrest was approved, and that lead to his arrest in the wee hour of today said the police.
