American rapper, Bryan Williams, a.k.a Birdman is set to executive produce ‘Tazmanian Devil’ a drama film about Nigerian immigrants with Nigerian-American Filmmaker, Solomon Onita Jr. Popular film and music director, Benny Boom who director an episode of Fox’s Empire, Black Lightning and Tales will also partner as executive producer on the project.


The movie tells a story about a 19 year old Dayo, struggling to connect with his enstranged father, who abandoned his family to join the missionary after they moved to the United States. He finds himself in search of his moral grounds when his deeply religious father challenges him for joining a fraternity in college.


Dayo is played by Abraham Attah from ‘Beast of No Nation’, while his father is played by Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwime, from ‘The Chi’. Onita Jr. has produced two short fims, ‘Witch Hunt’ in 2016 and ‘Two Hands Touch’ in 2017. He also wrote the short film ‘Joy’ in 2015.


Meanwhile, thefilm is in post-production phase and the official release dateis yet to be announced.
