Court Grants Naira Marley Bail

Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley has been granted bail in the sum of N2 million by a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

The presiding judge, Justice I Nicholas Oweibo granted the bail with the condition of provision of 2 sureties. Also one of the sureties must be a civil servant not below grade level 10, while the other must own a landed property in Lagos State.

 

Marley was on May 20th arraigned by personnel of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC, Lagos zonal office before the court on an 11-count charge bordering on cyber fraud and other related crimes.

 

Meanwhile, the judge adjourned the case till October 22nd for the hearing to begin.
