Police Assault: Ice Prince To Cool Down In Ikoyi Prison

Following the assault on a police officer, a Magistrate Court sitting at Ajah, Lagos state has ordered that Ice Prince Zamani, a popularly Nigerian rapper be reminded at Ikoyi Correctional Centre. The rapper was arraigned before the court on Friday by the Nigerian police, Lags Command for allegedly abducting its officer. When the charges were read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty in court. The presiding judge, Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and demanded that two sureties must be produced in like sum.


The rapper will remain at the correctional center until he meets his bail conditions, while the matter has been adjoined till September 7.
The popular music legend with their real name, Panshak Henry Zamani, was stopped at about 3 am by the police for driving without a number plate. 

Police public relation officer, PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin noted that the rapper agreed to be taken to the police station. 

After the police have boarded his car, ice Prince threatened the police to throw him in a river and assaulted him thereafter. 

The incident happened after the police vowed to prosecute singer, Daniel Benson better known as BNXN for assaulting and spitting on an officer in a similar manner.
