He stated that the Nigerian investment promotion commission recorded the sum of 66 billion dollars investment announcement in 2017.

“In the first quarter of 2018 we have seen 17 billion dollars investment announcement across a variety of sectors, through our engagement with the federal government at this summit I hope we begin to see the announcement converted, the whole idea is to engage and develop the announcement in to real investments,” he noted.

Also the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Ms Yewande Sadiku said the summit was aimed at ensuring investment opportunities are connected to investors for actual investment.

“It is NIPC’s piece of the puzzle to play the role for which it was established to encourage, promote and coordinate investment in Nigeria, though it is a federal agency it will only be successful if investments translate to the 36 states in Nigeria,” she stated.

“Anambra is the safest state in Nigeria. Kidnappings have been eliminated totally. So your investments are safe in our state. We have the largest market in trade. All the entrepreneurs are asking for is power. We also have gas reserves,” he said.
