The Federal Government has finally decided to sell the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST). The Minister of Communication Adebayo Shittu disclosed this while inaugurating the committee saddled with commercialisation of NIPOST in Abuja on Thursday.
The Minister noted that the commercialisation is in line with the mandate of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), it was observed that there is a lull transaction, capacity under-utilisation and the deteriorating state of infrastructure across the country.
The steering committee inaugurated by the Minister would comprise staff of the BPE, the ministry and other relevant stakeholders.
