The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with American multinational consumer goods corporation, Procter and Gamble Company (P&G) to launch a Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Academy.

 

The MoU which was signed in Abuja, will empower SMEs, grow and improve their business skills so as to succeed and compete internationally, growing the nation's economy.

The Director of Government Relations Africa, P&G, Temitope Iluyemi said the partnership will give SMEs the opportunity to obtain exclusive values to tackle issues encountered by business owners.

Also speaking, Aisha Abubakar, the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment said the public-private partnership between the Federal Government and P&G will train and mentor business owners on major principles of financial management as well as promote business ethics.
