Global monetary agency, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revealed that Nigeria’s economy will expand faster than its earlier projection. In a World Economic Outlook report released on Tuesday at the ongoing spring meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group, the agency opined that the nation's economy will grow by 2.1% in 2019.

FEC Sets Aside N5.595bn To Tackle Youth Unemployment

The Federal Executive Council, (FEC), on Wednesday, approved the sum of N5.595 billion for the establishing of 60,000 jobs for youths in the country. The foregoing was revealed by Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, Minister of Budget and Economic planning while briefing State House correspondents in Abuja.

2000 Megawatt Yet To Be Utilized By Discos - Osinbajo

Vice president Yemi Osinbajo stated that the administration has moved power generation up from 4,000 to 8,100 and also disclosed that over 2000 megawatts of the 8100 megawatts being generated are yet to be distributed by the Distribution Companies (Discos). 

Ondo State Government Signs Pact On Modular Refinery

In a bid to curb the menace of illegal bunkering in Ondo State, while boosting its revenue base, the state government in partnership with a firm, Crown Refinery and Petrochemical Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to start a modular refinery in the riverine area of the state. The pact believed to be worth $500 million will lead to the creation of jobs for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

Plans To Ease Apapa Gridlock Underway - NPA

Hadiza Bala-Usman, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), in an interview with Bloomberg has revealed that the agency has commenced building a seaport while considering one additional facility. She noted that the move is aimed at easing congestion at Apapa seaports, which currently handle about 80 percent of all shipping traffic in the country.
