Tin-Can Command of Nigerian Customs Generates N78.8bn In First Quarter Of 2019

According to the Tin-Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), it generated N78.8 Billion Naira in the first quarter of 2019, indicating upward generation from the N76.7 billion realized in the corresponding period of 2018. The Area Controller of the Service, Mohammed Musa, made this known on Sunday, 28th of April, 2019 during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) in Lagos. He added that the Command projected an income of N84 billion during the period under review but it generated about 94 per cent of its target.

FEC Approves N970.2m for Nigeria Customs Service

Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday, 8th May 2019 approved the sum of N970.2 million for the provision of residential accommodation and procurement of some equipment for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwunmi Adesina has revealed that the bank has invested about $4bn in Nigeria. He made the assertion during a visit to the state house in Abuja on Tuesday, 24th April 2019.
“We have 60 operations in Nigeria for a total of $4.5bn and about $2.8bn of that is in the private sector in the banking industry, financial sector, in particular about $1.7bn in the public sector.
