The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 on Monday during their daily briefings announced plans by the Nigerian Government to resume domestic commercial flight operations on June 21.

According to the National Coordinator of the Task Force, Sani Aliyu, the Aviation industry must develop protocols that will emendate airlines to ensure physical distancing by reducing passenger capacity and ensuring the provision of sanitizers and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The PTF coordinator also listed temperature checks at the point of entry and departure, and the reduction in the number of travellers or staff to reduce airport congestion.

The Federal Government however informed that schools across the country would remain closed for the meantime.
