Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) has on Thursday,1st August 2019 disclosed its resolution to put a smile on the faces of civil and public servants in Nigeria through the construction of 100 units of houses in the 36 states of the federation and Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Ahmed Dangiwa, Managing Director, FMBNmade the disclosure in Abuja while receiving the Director-General of National Information Communication Technology Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami. He was quoted saying “We are into collaboration with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over a plan to deliver 100 housing units in every state of the federation".
Dangiwa further added that the Bank (FCMB) has so far done groundbreaking in six states and before the end of September 2019, it will start commissioning them while the ground breaking for the other states will follow suit. This was according to him, in collaboration with lots of stakeholders to build affordable houses for low-income workers in Nigeria.
Also, Mr Dangiwa congratulated DrPantami for his focus on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), describing the visitor as an enviable personality who has increased professionalism in the sector.
In his remarks, DrPantamidisclosed that every institution needs ICT for the optimum achievement of its mandate. He, however, disclosed the aim of his visit to see how the Bank could assist the Agency(NITDA) in its drive to build affordable houses for its staff.
