The emerging report has it that the Socialist Republic of China has commenced export of used cars to Africa, Asia and Europe. The communist-led countrypresumably, the global economic giant has also concluded modalities to extend such export to Nigeria.
According to the China Ministry of Commerce, it has advanced arrangement in 10 identified cities for the export of used cars popularly referred to as second-hand vehicles. This is with the view of driving domestic vehicle sales to the global market which has to be since 1990 and but the recent development is quite different, as the cars for export would now include used ones.
Records in Nigeria indicated that used vehicles imports accounted for about 80 per cent of all vehicle sales in 2016 while Kenya recorded about 96 per cent of vehicles imported in the 206.
