The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market capitalisation rose by N25 billion or 0.20 per cent as the volume of shares traded on has improved by 77.38 per cent while 422.45 million shares worth N3.25 billion were traded in 3,618 deals, on Friday. This was against 238.16 million shares valued at N5.49 billion traded in 4,162 deals on Thursday.
Buhari Approves New Rail Lines From Daura To Kano, Others
The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi said President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a rail line from his hometown, Daura in Katsina to Kano, as the current administration intensifies efforts toward revamping the rail sector. The Minster who made the disclosure on Friday at the Osasu Show Symposium tagged "The Economy and its Effects on the Less Privilege" listed other rail lines approved by the president to include rail lines from Port Harcourt to Maiduguri, Kano to Maiduguri, Makurdi to Jos, Gombe to Yobe to Borno and Jigawa to Niger Republic.

FG To Revive 5 Fertiliser Plants

Nigeria Customs Service Ask Court For Forfeiture Order Of N50m Illegally Imported Goods
The Nigeria Customs Service Board has approached a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, seeking an order for the forfeiture of various illegally imported goods valued at N50,151,606. The goods said to have been intercepted between April and June 2017. They include loads of fairly used clothes, shoes, bags, bed sheets, breakable plates; 7,163 bags of foreign parboiled rice, and 147 jerry cans of vegetable oil.
Irony: Nigeria Lacks Enough Honey But Set For Bees Export
An official of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development says the country cannot export honey because it produces less than three per cent of its current needs.
