The Federal Government has said Ministries, Department and Agencies have been directed to generate N886 billion as Independent Revenue per annum in 2018. The Management of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday said it has suspended one of its staffs, Philomina Chieshe, on account of N36m which was reported to have been swallowed by a snake in the board’s office in Makurdi, Benue State. MultiChoice has released a statement concerning reports that DSTV and GOtv will shut down in 2019. The company said it is doing all to ensure its operating licences are renewed by the broadcasting agency in Nigeria. According to earlier reports, the operations of DSTV and GOtv would come to an end in 2019 as their license which expires in June 2019 would not be renewed.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said it has perfected plans to import two cargoes of petrol per day for the rest of February 2018 to boost supply and address the persistent fuel scarcity in some parts of the country. The Spokesman of the NNPC Ndu Ughamadu who made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday noted that the measure is part of efforts to keep the country wet with petrol and eradicate the fuel queues that have resurfaced in some cities, the corporation said.
